Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Here's a Clover I made in Gimp.  I wanted it to have a "painted look".  I had tried to get that look many ways but It just didn't look right.  I decided to actually paint a clover, scan it it, and work with that.  I think that some things just can't be made on a computer.  However, I did do some editing to my clover.  I made it more "green", and I added a little Oil blur to it.  I am posting my png. image so you can use it to!  Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Super Tube

This is a tube or pipe I made using a software called Gimp.  I made it to look like the ones in the New Super Mario Bros video game.  While making it, I learned a lot about shadows.  Shadows are very important for this project because a tube is round, not flat.  With Gimp it is easy to make two dimensional pictures with no shadows, but I wanted to learn how to make things look more three dimensional.  I would advise having a reference picture when making a difficult picture.  Lighting is also important, knowing where the light is coming from helps you know where to put the shadows.  Also in this post I am including my .png tube picture so you can use it too.  Just please comment and let me know!
